Meditation Retreats
Meditation retreats are a 5-day residential program for adults and are organised throughout the year. Open to everyone, people come from all over India and abroad. Participants get to listen to live discourses from the master
on particular subjects or themes (like the Bhagwad Gita, Upanishads, teachings of some saints, analysis of the mind etc). Moreover, the master conducts a practical session where participants are guided through a particular
meditation technique. Music is an integral component of the meditation techniques and discourses. Being a highly accomplished lyricist, composer and singer; the master effortlessly creates soothing and soul stirring musical
compositions that not only touches the heart evoking devotional sentiments in the listener but also aids the practitioner enter a meditative zone easily. In addition, one gets to practice yoga-asanas and pranayama. The master
also answers any relevant questions that the seekers may have. Participants are advised to observe silence in the free time as that enhances the depth of spiritual experience. Formal registration is essential for these retreats.
Youth Retreats
Once a year, the revered master conducts a five day residential retreat for youngsters between 14 and 24 years, a wonderful opportunity to be with the master and imbibe ancient wisdom in a contemporary style they can instantly
relate to. There are lots of activities, loads of fun and tons of laughter! With the dynamic yoga asanas, calming pranayama, cathartic meditation, heart-stirring bhajan-kirtan, and fun workshops - the youngsters are kept on their
toes throughout! Diverse workshops like theatre, cookery, dance, music, photography, painting, astrology, career counselling, candle making, web development and communication skills and the hugely popular Do-It-Yourself (DIY)
workshop give the youngsters a chance to challenge themselves and develop their skills and ingenuity. Group discussions allow them to share their viewpoint and voice their feelings. And self-defence sessions like Tae-kwon-do
and Chou are great to hone their reflexes, increase strength and stamina and generate confidence and focus The retreat gives youngsters an opportunity to directly interact with the master. It’s the time when adults wish they
were young again! This retreat is very sought-after and gets fully booked pretty quickly. Formal registration is needed.
Yoga-asana Retreats
Several Yoga Asana Retreat Programs are held from time to time here at Rishi Chaitanya Ashram to initiate one onto the path of well-being, self discovery, and to encourage one to be able to discover the answers for himself with
direct experience. The Yoga asana programs are meticulously designed under master’s supervision. Since asana are not mere postures of body alignment, each asana in the sequential series is designed astutely, to hinder
the mind from wavering and instead achieving a state of one-pointedness. It includes an in-depth understanding of the posture and the role of body muscles along-with the breathing pattern to be followed. Although structured
retreats of yoga and asanas are held here from time to time but we understand your life is extremely busy and occupying and you may not be able to attend them. Keeping this in mind, the ashram gates are open all round the year
for the ones who are seeking to learn yoga. You may come to ashram for a week’s time or more and learn asanas under the guidance of the master where participants get individual attention from highly skilled disciples of the
master. All you have to do is to pick up the phone, call us up or you may write to us and book your date. Such Yoga asana retreats are an opportunity to attune yourself to an ashram life which is the reign of spirituality.
The ongoing variegated meditative and chanting practises along-with the sattvic food and environment will all-together suffice you with a rejuvenating experience.
Silent Retreat
Have you ever considered taking a break from all the buzz and commotion around you but found yourself helpless at what to do? Our silent retreat program is exactly the therapy you need. Although it is one of the best tools for an individual
who has initiated on the path of self-discovery, but nonetheless this Retreat benefits one and all. Even those who have recently initiated on the path of yoga and dhyana will find this program to be an uplifting and startling experience.
It is a journey that begins with self-enquiry; and the solitude brings you to face your own underlying emotions- the ones that you were completely oblivious to. This program needs a spirit of courage and keen observance to
encounter the turbulence of mind so as to descend into the depths of silence. This is the prime reason that before enrolling for the silent retreat the right preparation under the guidance of the master is a must. Crucially the
purpose of this practise is to quieten the constant chatter of the mind and if that doesn’t stop then know that you haven’t yet known what unerring peace tastes like. What's best is that you can opt to enrol yourself anytime depending

Ad Hoc Classes
From time to time didactic classes are held on subjects like Astrology, Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Music, serving you a multifaceted plate with assorted options to choose from. The aim is to offer a fundamental overview so that the students
get familiar with the subject and get a basic synoptic understanding of the topic. Those who find they have an aptitude and want to learn more are guided in an appropriate direction. With evolving times and changing needs, we have
updated courses and learnings to offer to you from time to time. You may keep a tap on the ongoing courses through our Amrit Varsha App. Also, this is a great opportunity to learn and evolve in vicinity of the master and to
attune to the sattvik approach of learning.
Open for All Discourses
Satsangs/discourses are held on many religious and festive occasions. These sessions are open to everyone without any need for prior registration. These are very popular with the masses as they get live darshan of the master,
listen to words of practical wisdom and also get a chance to let their hair down forgetting their troubles for a while and dance in abundant gaiety.
Sunday Darshan
Whenever Master is in the ashram, darshan sessions are held every Sunday morning at 10 am welcoming one and all. Without doubt this is the most frequent yet awaited activity at the ashram. The master speaks on certain topics and
also answers pertinent questions. To be in the presence of the revered master Anandmurti Gurumaa, is to experience grace and compassion of an enlightened being. Her eloquent discourses dispel clouds of darkness, by way of answering
common questions on daily human suffering and offering personal guidance to those in quest of their own true Self. When the master is in the ashram, everyone looks forward to the weekend, for Sunday is the darshan day. This is
the time when the master meets aspirants who come from far and wide to soak in the divine atmosphere.
Celebration Galore
Festivals come year round, but fortunate are those who get an opportunity to celebrate them with the master. A host of festivals are celebrated in the Ashram – Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Basant Panchami, Maha Shivaratri, Holi, Buddha
Purnima, Krishna Janmashtami, Diwali, Guru Nanak Jayanti, to name a few! The master’s shower of wisdom and bliss on these events makes one both introspective and celebrative.
