अनन्तसंसार समुद्रतार नौकायिताभ्यां गुरुभक्तिदाभ्याम् ।

वैराग्यसाम्राज्यदपूजनाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 1 ॥

 

ananta samsãra samudra tãra noukãyitãbhyãm guru bhaktidãbhyãm|

vairãgya sãmrãjyada poojanãbhyãm namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||1||

 

That which is a boat, which oars me across the infinite ocean of samsara,

That which blesses me with a sense of devotion towards my Guru,

And by the worship of which, I attain the dominion of renunciation,

कवित्ववाराशिनिशाकराभ्यां दौर्भाग्यदावां बुदमालिकाभ्याम् ।

दूरिकृतानम्र विपत्ततिभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 2 ॥

 

kavitva vãrãshi nishãkarãbhyãm dourbhãgyadãvãm budamãlikãbhyãm|

doorikritã namra vipattitãbhyãm namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||2||

 

That which is the ocean of wisdom, resembling the full moon,

That which is the water, which puts off the blaze of misfortunes,

And which takes away the misery of those who prostrate before it;

नता ययोः श्रीपतितां समीयुः कदाचिदप्याशु दरिद्रवर्याः ।

मूकाश्र्च वाचस्पतितां हि ताभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 3 ॥

 

natã yayoh shree patitãm samiyuh kadãchidapyãshu daridra varyãh|

mookãshcha vãchas patitãm hi tãbhyãm namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||3||

 

That which makes those who prostrate before it,

the possessors of great fortune, even if they are paupers,

And that which transforms even dumb people into great orators.

नालीकनीकाश पदाहृताभ्यां नानाविमोहादि निवारिकाभ्याम् ।

नमज्जनाभीष्टततिप्रदाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 4 ॥

 

nãleekaneekãsha padã hritãbhyãm nãnã vimohãdi nivãrikãbhyãm|

namajjanãbheeshŤa tati pradãbhyãm namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||4||

 

That which draws us to the lotus-like feet of our Guru,

That which cures us of unwanted desires,

And that which fulfil the longings of those who bow before it;

And that which assists the spiritual aspirants in reaching the state of realization.

नृपालि मौलिव्रजरत्नकान्ति सरिद्विराजत् झषकन्यकाभ्याम् ।

नृपत्वदाभ्यां नतलोकपङ्कते: नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 5 ॥

 

nripãli mouli vraja ratna kãnti saridvirãjat jhashakanyakãbhyãm|

nripatvadhãbhyãm nataloka pankteh namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||5||

 

That which gleams like precious gems on the crown of an Emperor,

That which glows like a damsel seated in a crocodile-infested stream,

And that which makes the devouts reach the status of a king.

पापान्धकारार्क परम्पराभ्यां तापत्रयाहीन्द्र खगेश्र्वराभ्याम् ।

जाड्याब्धि संशोषण वाडवाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 6 ॥

 

pãpãndhakãrãrka paramparãbhyãm tãpatrayãheendra khageshvarãbhyãm|

jãĎyãbdhi samshoshaňa vãĎavãbhyãm namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||6||

 

That which is like a string of Suns pushing away the dark vices,

That which is like the majesty of eagles, driving off the cobras of afflictions,

And that which is like a terrifying blaze parching away the ocean of ignorance.

शमादिषट्क प्रदवैभवाभ्यां समाधिदान व्रतदीक्षिताभ्याम् ।

रमाधवान्ध्रिस्थिरभक्तिदाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 7 ॥

 

shamãdi shaŤka prada vaibhavãbhyãm samãdhi dãna vrata deekshitãbhyãm|

ramãdhavãnghri sthira bhaktidãbhyãm namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||7||

 

That which blesses us with the majestic six qualities like a sham,

That which gives the disciples the ability to go into an eternal trance,

And that which helps to get perennial devotion at the feet of Vishnu.

स्वार्चापराणाम् अखिलेष्टदाभ्यां स्वाहासहायाक्षधुरन्धराभ्याम् ।

स्वान्ताच्छभावप्रदपूजनाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 8 ॥

 

svãrchãparãňãm akhileshŤadãbhyãm svãhã sahãyãksha dhurndharãbhyãm|

svãntãchchha bhãva prada poojanãbhyãm namo namah shree guru pãdukãbhyãm||8||

 

That which confers all desires of the serving disciples,

That who are ever engrossed in bearing the burden of servitude

And that which assists the spiritual aspirants in reaching the state of realization.

कामादिसर्प व्रजगारुडाभ्यां विवेकवैराग्य निधिप्रदाभ्याम् ।

बोधप्रदाभ्यां दृतमोक्षदाभ्यां नमो नमः श्रीगुरुपादुकाभ्याम् ॥ 9 ॥

 

kāmādisarpa vrajagāruḍābhyāṃ vivekavairāgya nidhipradābhyām ।

bodhapradābhyāṃ dṛtamokṣadābhyāṃ namo namaḥ śrīgurupādukābhyām ॥ 9 ॥

 

That which is the Garuda which drives off the serpents of passion,

That which provides one with the treasure of wisdom and renunciation,

That which blesses one with refined wisdom,

And that which blesses the aspirant with speedy salvation,
