What is similarity between Creativity and Meditation
Rabindranath Tagore, the first noble prize winner of India, stated that it was not he who wrote the poetry in his collection, Geetanjali, it was written through him. What made such an extraordinary achiever say these words? Gurumaaji answers this lucidly by glorifying the strong bond between creativity and Meditation.
Archimedes, the great mathematician, had persistently worked hard to unfold the relation between the weight of a substance and the amount of matter it displaces once immersed in it. His mind got tired and exhausted by the ongoing clash of ideas and thoughts. While taking bath, when his mind had calmed down and he had reached a state where his mind had become thoughtless, the solution that he was looking for dawned upon him. Gurumaaji says that all of the great revelations happen when the mind has reached a state of equanimity. She says that these people never followed the so called techniques to reach to that state, but rather this state happened to them, and this state where the supra subconscious mind which is part of the macro cosmic mind started functioning and as a result the channels of knowledge opened for them. But these people will not be able to enjoy this state as they were never seeking it in the first place, Gurumaaji adds.
Gurumaaji elaborates that Meditation opens the gates of knowledge to us. She further states that a perfect balance of Meditation will give us both creativity and intelligence and they both should exist in harmony as an integral part of our life and this harmony is maintained by meditativeness.
