Yoga Nidra – Q & A
Gurumaa speaks of the life of distress that today’s modern man leads and further ads on to the fact that this emotional and external stress is carried forward even in his dreams. While he prepares himself to relax and take shelter in the drapes of sleep, he is haunted by dreams, a bi product of his own turmoil that is collected and stored in the bin of his mind and is recycled as dreams when he falls asleep and therefore he wakes up tired and exhausted the next morning.
The answer to this life of tension and distress is very lucidly elucidated in ‘Tantra’ and ‘Raj Yoga’ as ‘Yoga Nidra’. Yoga Nidra is the state of deep relaxation where in the mind and body relinquishes all the muscular and emotional tensions and enters a level of repose by getting in touch with its own sub-conscious store house of energy, it’s the mind.
