Shakti: An endeavour empowering girl child with education

Today, when female foeticide is rampant and prevalent age old customs are smothering women’s rights, focusing on empowerment of women with education is the only resort to bridge this gap.

Working as a wake up call in this direction, Shakti, a non-sectarian, non-political and non-discriminatory organization, spearheaded by revered mystic master, Anandmurti Gurumaa, endeavors to illuminate the lives of underprivileged girls with the radiance of education.

As per Gurumaa, “If girls are given equal opportunities of education, they can create wonders. The hands which can cook food at home, can also manage the finance of a country.”

Formed in the year 1999, this mission has so far helped educate over 9762 girls and empowered over 943 girls with vocational training courses.

It is not just about education, it is about bringing a revolution.
