Creativity and Spirituality
A painter when engrossed in the hues that he has to paint on the canvas loses his contact with the world around him. His canvas, his brush, his vision is all he remembers. A potter while giving shape to the soft clay, gets drowned in the mushiness of the sand particles, the whole world is alien to him. A scientist when giving his genius a new direction gets absorbed in the processes in his laboratory, all he thinks about is his research. The involvement of these professionals in their own works exhibit their high levels of concentration.
Concentration is very important for each and every being of this universe to effectively and perfectly finish the assigned tasks. Lack of concentration gives room to mistakes to creep in. In the absence of concentration, no work, no task can be fulfilled to its perfection. High levels or matured levels of this concentration evolves into ‘Dharna’ meaning contemplation.
Gurumaaji elucidates that concentration is essential for any person to further not only in the material world but also to progress spiritually. She clarifies that Meditation is done not merely to be happy as this happiness can be felt by indulging into external activities of recreation as well .Meditation is done to achieve a state of perennial concentration, ‘Dharna’ or Contemplation and awareness and once that state is reached good things happens to such a person and through such a person.
