Right values in childhood

Our sanskaras, our upbringing, our family and the people in our life contribute a lot to the way we think and behave. Our interactions with people, with the environment and with ourselves too depends on the values we have imbibed since birth.

We have been gifted with a mind, a body and a brain that can think and process the information our senses receive. However, if our value system is not proper, we end up evaluating things incorrectly. As a result of this, our choices in life are not effective and do not bring us the happiness we desire.

In this video, Gurumaa elucidates on the very important fact that most people, indeed most parents live in this way as they themselves have not received correct values as children. When we grow up with right values gifted to us at an early age through sensible parents, enlightened teachers and loving elders, our body, particularly our brain starts to develop optimally. This enhances and enriches us on all levels – mental, physical and spiritual.
