Fulfilment of desires: Myths Demystified
Q: What is satisfaction? When you are satisfied, what exactly is the process in your mind or body? Why does everyone run to get satisfaction? When he is satisfied, he tries for another satisfaction and when he is unsatisfied, he thinks of that unsatisfaction. Why? How will life be when there is no satisfaction?
A: Anita Dhirdhe, I think you are too much unsatisfied with yourself, that is why you yourself are running in this process and its not a comment which you are making about the other person, may be it is just about yourself. How to define satisfaction? And what you have written in your question is actually not about true satisfaction.
See, when one desire gets fulfilled, you may feel happy for sometime but soon your mind begins to wander and looks for other things which it wants and then again disturbs; then you wait for that time when your desire gets fulfilled and then again you will have a flitting moment of satisfaction. This is not true satisfaction and you definitely do not know what satisfaction is.
Satisfaction never comes with desire fulfilment. Satisfaction comes only when you have come out of all the desires. Got it?
