Shakti Karuna - Supporting Farmers in Maharashtra Part 2
This video presents the talk by revered master Anandmurti Gurumaa during visit to Beed, Maharashtra to help the suffering farmers’ families in the drought-hit area. In response to the high toll of farmer suicides in drought-hit regions in India, which left their families impoverished, almost to the point of starvation, that the revered master launched the initiative of Shakti Karuna to provide relief and succour to our brethren farmers. May 19th, 2017 was indeed a heart-warming day as the revered master personally visited Beed district and distributed cheques to the widows of over 50 farmers who had committed suicide. Cycles were distributed to 31 young girls who had to walk almost 14 kms daily to school and back. The infrastructure of Govt. schools was supported by introducing E-learning in 15 schools, a new concept enthusiastically welcomed by villagers and Govt. official alike. Heartfelt thanks and hearty congratulations to all our patrons and volunteers who made it possible for farmers’ families to live with dignity, holding their heads up again.
