Iltaja | Rumi's Poetry
Rumi’s poetry calls for a deep listening as it unfolds the intriguing mysteries of divine love. It is not for praises but for submergence into its depth. This video presents soulful rendering of Rumi’s poetry with the backdrop of mesmerising music. In this poem Rumi says, ‘the path of love is beyond all traditions and religions, if you cannot think beyond hypocrisy, you are better off asleep! If you do not feel the pain of love, if you do not continuously search for the beloved and don’t pine for union with him, you are better off asleep!’ It is ironical and metaphorical in nature. This is part of the music album titled ‘Rumi – Love at its Zenith’ featuring first ever Hindi translation of the great mystic’s soul-stirring poems by Sufi mystic of today’s times Anandmurti Gurumaa.
