Q : You say God is not responsible for the bad things, which happen in our life. Then what is the role of God in our life? From your teachings, I learnt that the true meaning of prayer lies in not asking God for anything. Thank you for removing this misconception, as we were only conditioned to ask from God but could you please explain, why the enlightened ones sing the praises of God? What are we then exactly praising?

A : Visahli, firstly, what is a role of oxygen in your life? If there is no oxygen, there won’t be any life but have you ever said thank you to oxygen? No, the nature is functioning in great harmony and if nature disobeys its rules, would we be able to live on this earth? Would we be able to survive? No, we won’t but have we ever thanked the nature? Have we ever paid our salutation to the nature and to the great power, which is making this nature function? That is what enlightened ones do. They don’t ask for anything in their prayers. They are not seeking anything from the God. They tirelessly sing the praises of the Lord and ceaselessly thank the divinity for the very fact that they are alive, they are in the human body, are able to see beautiful color of the world and all this spectacular things which are happening around them.

What is the role of the God?
Well, you really don’t know that, that’s for sure and enlightened ones know it. That’s the difference; you find it difficult to pray if you don’t have anything to ask from God and for the enlightened ones, no reason is every reason to sing the praises of God because God is every thing for them. God is the source, the immortal.

This is the eternal relation which we have with the divinity and we exist simply because the divinity simply is. That’s how by singing the praises of the Lord, the masters simply rejoice every moment with the divine.
