Be a Seeker: Know the true self

Dwait means duality and Adwait means going beyond duality. Initiating the talk with these two terms, Gurumaa makes it clear that Dwait means two and Adwait means neither two nor one but beyond both. And that the two in word Dwait means ‘Me- the I and the Brahma’. Relating the concept of  ‘I’ or ‘me’ with false and true self, Gurumaa explicates that false self means referring ‘I’ or ‘me’ as inclusive of mind body, senses and intellect. However, true self is exclusive of mind, body, intellect and senses. Reiterating the importance of experimentation and exploration, Gurumaa makes it clear that the concept of true self is to be explored and understood not just by words or intellect, but through experience. Gurumaa further thrill all with a beautiful instance of Hazrat Jalaluddin Rumi who once said to his students, “What I have said to you is not the complete truth. The day I say the complete truth to you, I too will be killed like Al Hallaj Mansoor. I would like to live and teach you the right path and the day you get prepared, I will deliver the complete truth to you“. Thus, Gurumaa explains that this path is not a path for believers but seekers.
