Rangi Rangala Shrirang | Abhanga | Marathi
Drenched in colours of divinity, this resounding, energetic, ecstatic rendition encapsulates the highest spiritual experiences of the great woman mystic Mahariji lovingly sung by Anandmurti Gurumaa. She was a disciple of Sant Chokha Mela of Maharashtra. In this abhanga (bhajan in Marathi) Mahariji expresses her deep, fervent love for Lord Krishna, whom she endearingly called Vithoba. The very first time she had a glimpse of Vithala, Krishna, in the temple of Pandharpur (holy shrine in Maharashtra), the veil of duality was rent asunder; all-pervasive nature of the Lord was revealed to her and she attained the exalted state of Samadhi. Now, all afflictions of mind – anger, greed, lust and pride were destroyed, never to return. Mahariji sings that with the grace of her beloved master, she now enjoys untainted, unalloyed, ever-lasting bliss and ecstasy. Dance in ecstasy with this exhilarating rendition drawn from the discourses held at Nashik, February 2014.
