Be an engineer but a meditating engineer. Be a doctor but be a meditating doctor. Be a software engineer but never loose your grip on your awareness. Excel in your fields, be rich, but don’t remain a pauper in your spiritual world.

Be rich both ways, have your life in abundance but not only in possessions but also in spirituality. Money and fame and success are not adversaries to spiritual life, they are not enemies but if we have the insight, if we have the wisdom, then we can use all the success, all the money, all the prosperity in uplifting not only our state but also the state of the world, the state of the people around us and one can really make a difference in other people’s lives. And I always say to gift something, to donate something, to do a charity, you first have to have money, if you don’t have it, you can’t do all these things.
To bring some meaning in lives of other people, you have to be in a position to do that. You cannot be a failure and claim that you can bring some good change in someone’s life; well, dear you could not bring change in your own life. So be successful, be rich, live in abundance, but remember, all this outer things are, not eternal. So be focused and bring harmony in your inner and outer pursuits. So there should be exact right balance in focusing inwards and outwards. And this will be the real definition of true creativity, that you are not living lopsided. See, there are people who say “oh, I will not work, I’ll just live in ashram, close my eyes and meditate whole day”, well, it won’t be possible, I know it, I’ve seen people who are living in ashram, they are not meditating the whole day. Then there are people who say “Oh I am not going to waste my time, I will not have even a wink of sleep, I’ll just work, work and work and build up companies and make more & more money”. Dear you cannot.
We should not be living in extremes; we should be living with great balance and creating the harmony in our inner & outer pursuits.
