Mahishasura Mardini | Durga Stotra
Legend has it that Devi Durga slayed the demon named Mahishasura and therefore was called Mahishasura Mardini. Hailed as the mighty daughter of the mountain, who showers boons on devas, looks after the three worlds, her radiant glory has been beautifully woven in this poetic expression offered in the lotus feet of Devi Durga. Chanting this stotra with the sentiment of invoking grace and blessings of divine cosmic force is truly a sacred experience. It is part of the music album titled Ananda Stotras that also features Shri Durga Astottra Shatanaamaani Stotra (108 names), Shri Durga Dwatrimsha Naamamala Stotra (32 names) and Nirvana Shatakam ethereally sung by Anandmurti Gurumaa.
