How to overcome fear psychosis due to close relative’s death

Q: My grandma expired this year and since then nobody in my house can sleep properly. My mother is so ill that she cannot get up from the bed. I feel scared in my own house. I have never slept with my parents, but now I can’t even sleep alone in my room. I constantly feel that there is someone in my house who is observing us, which scares me a lot. A lot of instances have happened which give us the impression that she is still here and not happy. Please help.

A: Well Aarushi, again I would just like to say that it is just fear psychosis which is making you people believe that your grandmother has not left the house & that she is still there & she is unhappy. Most of the time, it is the guilt of the family members that they couldn’t serve her well or they couldn’t give her the medical attention which was needed or they couldn’t spend good time with her.

With all these guilt & non acceptance of the death which has happened, gives rise to this kind of weak-minded hallucinations, imageries which are happening around you. The most important thing would be that you need to, maybe even for all of you, the whole of the family members might need is to do Maha Mrityunjaya japa, which atleast may bring solace to your suffering minds.

And Maha Mrityunjaya japa would definitely strengthen your mind & would help you and your family to come out of these mind issues which you are experiencing.
