Is it correct to change sankalpa in Yoga Nidra?

Q : I have been doing Yog Nidra regularly. Is it ok to change the sankalpa that I am doing since my first Yog Nidra experience? Also during Yog Nidra many times a state is observed when breathing slows down and status of kumbhak is experienced. Mind gets diverted when the capacity to hold breath ends and again it continue to listen into your instructions. Please guide me.

A : Number one, you should not change your spiritual sankalpa because how many kinds of spiritual sankalpa one needs, ‘I wish to get liberated’, ‘I wish to get enlightened’, ‘I wish to attain Samadhi’. You should pick one and just stick to that.

You say, sometimes the kumbhak happens while doing Yog Nidra. Well, if it happens and if you are passive to it and you are not doing anything to do kumbhak then you should not be worried when the kumbhak ends. Kumbhak cannot clog your ears that you would not listen to instructions which are coming in the Yog Nidra album. Don’t play these games. If you have to do kumbhak, do it at some other time. And in your Yog Nidra, if ever, the kumbhak is going to happen, then it should not be a reason for the breakage in your Yog Nidra practice.
