We interact with the world around us with our minds and approach God also with the same tendency. The tendency of the mind is to change and waver, so if we connect with God through our minds, our communion with God also becomes unstable. We can become one with truth only if we go deeper than the mind and who can guide us in this journey better than a master present in the physical body?

A living master becomes a link between the world as we see it and the truth beyond the mind. The master guides seekers in their quest, guards them against all pitfalls and even gives tough knocks on their heads when they loose their awareness. Being with such masters, sitting in their presence, feeling the silence and energy around them and absorbing it, can instantly take a seeker deep within his inner being.

While all scriptures are indications towards the truth, a living master is an embodiment of truth itself. The enlightened master gives a face to the invisible truth, a voice to the eternal silence. Can the importance of such a living master be more emphasized?
