Handling anger effectively

Emotions are energy in motion. The emotion of anger particularly, is a very powerful force and if we do not get swept away in its waves but deal with it effectively, then we can use this energy to empower us instead. Otherwise the energy is dissipated; not only that, anger, depression and other negative emotions actually release toxins and chemicals in our body which harm us. This makes us see how intimately mind and body are connected. Indeed, we are what we think!

Sometimes, we react violently to what we perceive as provocation or threats from others to ‘defend’ ourselves. In this video, Gurumaa explains why it is important to take responsibility for the way we think and behave.
