Let us join forces and become active agents in eradicating the ongoing gruesome murders committed against the defenseless female fetuses. The ruthless gender based methodical killings of the unborn daughters in the womb has reached an all time high creating an enormous disparity between the genders, therefore, it is crucial for us to take swift actions against ignorance by aiding in raising awareness through education and technical training.

The U.N. reports of an alarming number of rapidly declining births of girls in India [Bharat] specifically in states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh including Gujarat! Since the year 2000, there has been a rapid decline in female births – presently, the figures of boys to girls’ ratios of: - 1000: 820-850! This disproportion of dwindling numbers of girls should be a wake up call … a distress signal because of its dire implications for the future balance of the society.

It is a scientific fact that upon conception, the cells start dividing, thereby validating the female fetus as a living entity and by the fourth month, the fetus’s cells start multiplying and developing a complex nervous system. However, the medical professionals are accomplices in this murdering spree using a sex selection tool – the ultrasound machine! The ultrasound machine, specifically designed to monitor the well-being of the fetus is instead, rampantly misused in identifying the sex of the fetus, resulting in the swift elimination of the unborn daughter from its mothers’ womb. Therefore, doctors, nurses and gynecologists deeming it an insignificant act of aborting a female fetus up to the fifth month, need to refrain from this immoral act of committing heinous cold-blooded murders against the defenseless unborn female fetuses.

In order to stop this crime, Gurumaa has set up an organization, SHAKTI, to raise awareness by funding education, providing vocational training, and awarding scholarships to girls from poverty-stricken backgrounds and/or whose parents are war veterans, war widows, widows or handicapped regardless of their caste or creed. Currently, about 6000 girls are undergoing computer training and (sishyus) disciples are accessing remote areas to set up on-site computer training programs. Hence, empowering girls with a sound education and enabling them to be financially independent by providing vocational training will definitely pave a path for a balanced male: female ratios.

Consequently, with adequate support and the annihilation of ignorant beliefs will definitely eradicate the practice of female feticides. So, listen up & help in spreading awareness, aiding our less fortunate brothers and sisters, and improving the conditions of our environment to become successful in the quest for our spiritual growth!
