Buddha Sutras

In this video Gurumaaji talks about some of the profound sutras given by Buddha on the eight fold path towards enlightenment. It is commonly understood that a seeker of spirituality performs extreme penance, stretching his body to the maximum limit possible, going without food and water for several days. At the same time there are also people to overdo everything be it eating drinking or even exercising. Gurumaaji expounds upon each of the sutras stressing on the importance of leading a well balanced life on this path. These sutras also stand for the wholesomeness (Samyak) in various spheres of life.

The profession we choose to earn our livelihood should be a noble one and one which does not lead people towards destruction. The body of a seeker needs the right amount of exercise, neither too little, nor too much. This is also true in every effort a human being makes with body, mind and brain. If thoughts are wholesome and memories are beautiful, a seeker is automatically following buddha’s sutra of right thoughtfulness.

Such a seeker, who has a balanced, well tuned body and mind, is complete in resolve, action and effort also becomes capable of reaching the highest peak of consciousness in meditation (Samyak Samadhi). One who dedicatedly follows the Eight Fold Path of Buddha reflects the abundant grace and blessings of the Master and can be truly called a seeker.

Lets absorb and assimilate the wholesome Sutras of Buddha and make our lives complete.
