Why avoid keeping Mahabharata at home

Q: I am B.Tech student and I want to ask you it is considered Mahabharata & Garuda Purana should not be kept at home one should not read them. Please throw some light.

A: You say you are a B.Tech student but I don’t think so. You seem to be pretty backward thinking, uneducated, ignoramus person. Otherwise books are books, how can these books bring harm on you and what kind of technology are you studying when you can’t even understand a simple thing that book doesn’t brings you goodness or bad things won’t happen to you just because of you have Garuda Purana. I believe Mahabharata & Garuda Purana are beautiful scriptures and one should read them at home and study and know this: Bhagavad Gita is part of the Mahabharata. So shouldn’t be you then avoid Bhagavad Gita also. There is no end to stupidity. Please come out of it.
