Asanas and pranayamas for restoring hormonal balances

Q: I am 32 years old. I have been doing surya namaskara, uttanpadasana , sarvangasana and nadi shodhana pranayama for some time. I also do yoga nidra along with it. However, for the last few months I have been having some problem with my monthly periods. They have become irregular and are sometimes quite heavy. Are there specific asanas, pranayams that I can learn to bring this under control?

A: Yes, there are certain asanas which you can learn. But they cannot be taught right here. For that you will have to come to the ashram. But do come for a minimum of 10 days, learn all this stuff and take charge of your body. As such, there are lots of hormonal changes happening. There are various reasons for heavy periods. There could be a fibroid, there could be some hormonal imbalance and there could be too much of stress on the body & on the mind. So all these reasons have to be taken into account and then, may be a judgement can made.
