Description

“If you are following the path of Dharma, you are today’s Arjuna.
You have to fight with your close ones to progress on this path.”

The discourse on the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita begins with the scene of the battlefield in Kurukshetra, where Arjuna is confronted with the opposing army of relatives and thus loses his courage to fight. This set contains the expositions of chapter 1 & 2 of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita by Anandmurti Gurumaa. Gurumaa’s vivid explanation of these chapters brings alive the message of Gita given by Krishna to Arjuna.

First chapter titled Arjuna Vishada Yoga describes the setting of the battlefield, and the delusion faced by Arjuna on seeing the army of his friends and relatives.

Second chapter titled Sankhya Yoga is the quelling of Arjuna’s doubts & delusion by Lord Krishna, as he surrenders to the Lord as his disciple. It explains the significance of surrender to the realised one, the real meaning of vairagya (dispassion), the impermanent nature of this world, the distinction between material body and subtle body, the power of wisdom, the importance of a purified mind, the means of salvation, the essence of karmas and their fruits, and the Nishkama Karma. In this chapter, Gurumaa exhorts the aspirant to practice meditation in order to absorb this supreme gyana.

This set is a collection of 12 DVD’s.
