Description
Ancient masters always stressed to do meditation on aasana – mat. In earlier days, deer or lion skins were used. Hay or dried grass known as kusha was used by sages as asanas for meditating. For obtaining deer and lion skins, there was no killing of animals. The skin of dead animals was used for the purpose. This was an act of non-violence, at the same time ensuring that the skin was put to good use. Though animal skins are not much in use today, the use of an asana for meditation by a sadhak, preferably a woolen one, is a must. The Asana protects us from cold or heat and gives comfort to the body. But its most important function is to conserve the energy produced during meditation and not let the earth’s gravity pull it down. We have made beautiful red velvet aasanas for you. They are especially designed, keeping in mind the need of the meditators.
It is really comfortable for meditation.
