What does ‘watching oneself’ mean?
Q : Respected Gurumaa, what does 'watching oneself' mean?
Natasha Singhal
Answer When I say watch yourself, then I’m talking not about your body, not about your senses, not about your thoughts, not about your emotions, not about your imaginations but I’m talking about that being, which is layer after layer hidden within.
So, body is the most external layer, then the senses, then the mind, conscious, subconscious, unconscious, behind that is the intellect, behind that is you. When I say watch yourself, I’m asking you to peel all these layers and move within.
How you do that, for this you need some much deeper understanding and wisdom and ‘viveka’, ‘gyana’. I can suggest one of my book called ‘know thy self’. Please read that it will help you.
