What is the treatment for temporal lobe epilepsy disorder?

Q : Pranaam Gurumaa! My brother is 18 and every few days, he gets a feeling of déjà vu - which he has already seen an event before. He does not recall when he saw the vision but says it occurs to him when he is relaxed and is doing random thinking. Medical science links this symptom to a temporal lobe epilepsy disorder. Is it something of concern and what should he do?

Answer

Ria, it is true. It is temporal lobe epilepsy, it is the delayed information reaching to the lower temporal lobe & it is delayed analysis of the brain. That is why the feeling of déjà vu happens to so many people. Actually déjà vu is, I am not saying that it cannot happen, but in 99% of the cases it is temporal lobe epilepsy. So what can he do to correct it? He should learn yogic asana and there is a series of asanas which can help him to correct it. As such, if it is not scary for him, if he is not too fearful of all this so called déjà vu happening then you can leave it as it is. But if you wish to correct it, then inverted asanas & certain pranayamas can be of great help.
