Q : Dear Gurumaa, I live in the Uk. I have been here since I was 10. I have never managed to make friends in the area in which I live. I do not know how to approach people. I believe that people should not be bothered unless you need something from them. Please help me get out of this mentality. I need friends in my life.

Answer Sab, do you know, you have a true friend already & you are not appreciating that person. You are not thanking that person and you are just so obsessed with your own negative thinking that you cannot see this real friend, here is the real friend who is talking to you.
And if you are bothered about the hanky-panky friends with whom you can go out and do shopping with, then maybe you will have to work up your life to come to their standards, that is, dress up well, groom yourself well & you should be oozing with confidence & no one wishes to be friends with a weak personality.
So be a strong person, first be a good friend to yourself. If you will be good to yourself and take care of yourself well; & if you equip yourself with some art, knowledge, information & education, then when you are earning well, there won’t be any dearth of friends around you.
