How to prolong the ‘I am not body nor mind’ feeling?
Q : When I sit for meditation, I feel I am not body, not the mind, I am something else which sits inside the body. But the feeling is short lived and the other thoughts take over, how do I prolong the feeling?
Answer Well in the beginning, it will for a very short duration and you are lucky that you could manage to have this blessing and this is indeed a great blessing. Even for a moment, if you can feel like that, it gives a great assurance and a great consolation also that what your Guru was saying, is the truth.
Yes, we are not the body. Yes, we are not the mind and yes, now you have very miniscule experience of that. It always begins like this slowly & slowly and gradually this will become more and longer duration and then a day would come when you just live in this state that you are not body, then this body becomes a perfect vehicle to enjoy the bounties of the life which is being given to us by the nature, by God.
Don't complain, but feel enormously thankful that you could experience it.
