Can a sadhak progress on the spiritual path in the absence of the Guru?

Q : Respected Gurumaaji, pranam. I am not near my Guru physically since the past few years, so I am not sure if I am progressing on my path or not. Sometimes I sense rose fragrance all of a sudden around me in my daily chores and then it is gone. Are these experiences true? Do they tell us something? I want to be near my beloved God.

Yes, they are true experiences, but it is not that something or someone comes and sprinkle these fragrances around you, but definitely it is a good and pleasing experience & I cannot add more to whatever your hidden desire was in asking this question. I would rather ask you a counter question, why aren’t you close to your Guru? Be close.
