Q : I am 78 years of age. Both my eyes have been operated for Glaucoma and Cataract. As advised by doctor, I am taking medicines for blood pressure which is between 120-140/75-80. I would be grateful if you kindly advise which of the pranayamas/ asanas I should restrict myself for and which ones I should avoid. Many thanks in anticipation. Kind regards.
Answer Well, I cannot suggest you like this over here and especially about the asanas, it can’t be told on the video, you need to come here to the ashram to learn it. And as for the pranayama, I can definitely suggest you that other than nadi shodhana pranayama, you should not be doing any other pranayama. Although, Ujjayi is also good, but again Ujjayi is a little difficult; and I have my opinion that the way it is being taught on the television, it is not the right method. So you need to know how to do it correctly and then do nadi shodhana and the second which I would suggest is ujjayi pranayama.
