How to overcome fear in case of slightest trouble to the body?

Q : I am facing fear in my mind that something will happen with me even on slight pain anywhere in the body. I create the problem and take it to a very serious stage, resulting in loss of control of the body. The stage has reached to such a stage that I am not leaving the home alone.

Vinay, you are in serious trouble & you need to see a psychotherapist. Know this, psychotherapists are not dealing with sick people or pagals or the mentally weak only. A psychotherapist is such a person who can help you to understand this weakness of your mind & these fears which you have. I doubt it could be an OCD; it is a problem of the mind which may require medication, not tranquilizers.

Be sure, you do not need tranquilizers but certain medications which help the brain to function well. If your brain is not releasing the right amount of chemicals, then there is a possibility that one goes to this kind of behaviour. Do consult a psychologist who is also a neurologist or consult a person who can understand the MRI done of your brain & if possible, there is a brain imaging which is called “SPECT”. Get that imaging done. See a doctor.

Maybe you need medication and in the meantime, eat lot of omega three foods like walnuts, almonds & use more of olive oil. Do lot of nadi shodhana and learn sarvangasana and inverted poses where the feet are up in the air, the shoulder stand, halasana and join some sport or game. It is just the chemical releases happening which are not functioning very well, which can be easily corrected.

Do not to be scared and talk to the next available best psychotherapist. You will be very fine. You need not be worried at all.
