What is the difference between meditation and contemplation?
Q : Gurumaa, is self-contemplation equivalent to meditation?

Answer
No, it is not. They are two different things, meditation is being in a state where there is no thought, nirvichar…. & contemplation is where you are producing a chain of thoughts about who I am and who the mind is. So in contemplation, it is more of the chintan, it is more of focussing on the atman. But meditation is going to a stage, trying to go to a stage where you are totally thoughtless, but totally conscious. So they are different.
