Can we justify our actions since the mind is given by God?

Q : How is our Karma in our hands? I think it is not totally in our hands. Do we do: what our mind says and the mind is given by God?

True, the mind is given by God, but the mind is not a running mind, you are the running mind. Do not put the blame on poor God for your ill, sick thinking & wrong doings. It is you who are deciding; choosing. The mind is for sure the entity being given to us by the almighty, but the almighty does not hold strings in his hand because of which our mind would do the puppet dance. We are the masters of our mind, learn to be the master of the mind and then do the things as your heightened intellect would ask you to do.
