Is it wrong to love one another?

Q : Respected Gurumaa, I follow you in several thousand ways. I respect your thoughts. But one thought of yours always makes me troubled. I read your article "Do not fall in love" in soul curry. But to agree to it and follow it, never comes to my mind. How can one live without loving humans? I believe one can love one’s dear ones with a feeling of divinity. Should I believe that in loving and worshipping my close relations, am I wrong?

Amrinder, you must have not understood my message in soul curry. I am not saying do not fall in love, what I am saying is do not fall. Fall means down towards the earth; do not fall in love and as such love is not something which can happen between two humans. Now this would be another shock for you.

In between two humans, the best thing which happens is liking, infatuation, mutual respect, sex and affection. Love is something which can only happen with God. No one else can give this love. Although, this love word has been misused so heavily and it is being used anywhere and everywhere.

But love is divine and yes, we humans need love, but this love is not something which could come to us from another human being. Love is something which comes from within. And outside of us, whatever comes to you are affection, appreciation, liking, and physical attraction. This is what happens usually, not love.
