Q : Who am I, What purpose I am here? How can that become clearer? Is there something I need to do? How can I listen and understand better?

Answer Just be present when I am talking. Just check, are you present now? Are you listening to me or your mind is just repeating all past knowledge, which you have heard from me or from someone else or have read somewhere. See I can give you clear-cut answer that you are here to know who you are. That would be very easy.
But I don't think that it would really solve your problem. Don't worry about why we are here. Just live your life completely. Live your life with a notion that every moment which I have is the only moment in life and just say bye-bye to the moments which have gone. Don't think about those moments whether they were good, bad, ugly, or beautiful.
Don't waste your time in speculation about your uncertain future; just be in this present moment. And then whatever this moment brings to you is your purpose. At the moment it is the purpose of the moment that you listen to me and don't let the noises of your mind obstruct your listening.
The day you are able to have that clarity in your mind and when this mind is made transparent and clear, you can see through and nothing will be hidden from you & everything will be open. If you are blind or deaf, then God may come and do disco dance in front of you or sing a beautiful song but you will miss it. Be alert always.
