How to convince myself to believe in the Guru’s teachings?

Q : Lord Krishna had to teach Arjun in many ways but only until Krishna had proved to Arjun by showing his Viratroop was he able to convince Arjun to fight. On the contrary, we are very ordinary people, so how can someone find it easy to believe what the Guru preaches, when almighty Krishna himself could not convince Arjun easily.

Well, this is something very mysterious, which many people do not understand at all, that what was Krishna’s Virat-roop. They have his weird, imaginative pictures drawn where there is a Krishna who is very tall, of huge size and with all these different faces – demons, demigods etc. There are 20 faces on one side and 20 faces on the other side. A long, tall body in a picture could look like 20 feet, but 20 feet cannot be called Virat.

When it is said that Krishna had shown his Virat-roop to Arjun, it is definitely not what you see in the pictorial form, it is a symbolical presentation of something very abstract. My suggestion is - do get my Bhagwat Geeta videos and do listen to the Adhayaya where this whole thing unfolded, you will come to know about Viratroop.

And in a way, it is not only Arjun who had to be convinced in a very hard way by Krishna, every Guru has to do it. Is this not in your case too - without learning anything, without being in my presence and spending some time in your meditation, in your sol- itude, you wish to understand everything - how is that possible? It is not possible.
