What can be done to channelise the energy equally?
Q : When I sit for meditation, or do Yog Nidra, I feel that the energy is stuck in the left side of the body. At times I feel a shock wave traveling through my nerve up till my finger tips. This occurs in the right side of the body. I felt a Shock wave in my left side only once while doing Urja, it was not a strong one and faded quickly. I am practicing Yoga asana and some Pranayam in the morning. What can be done to channelise the energy properly in both sides of my body? Are there any specific Asanas or practices for the same? Please guide.

Answer
Firstly, there are psychic channels in our body known as “Nadhi”. They are subtle channels. “Nadhi” can’t be seen on opening up the human body because they’re not the part of the human anatomy. When you meditate intensely, these channels don’t have the capacity to hold the increasing energy as these psychic channels are not in cleansed form.
For example, if your house has wires of lesser than 220 volt capacity and suddenly due to electrical transformer malfunction, a current of 300 to 400 voltage flows into your home wires, the wires will snap and catch fire. Similarly, there are 72000 cyclic channels (Nadhi) in our body. Nadhi means the energy flow. If these channels are not clear and unclogged, there is the possibility of you feeling the energy stuck in one side or shocks in the body.
The solution to this problem is, number one, you should do Surya Namaskra definitely and few of the spinal binding posses for example Bhardwaj asana, Matsyendra asana, Triyaka Bhujang asana, and also you need to do Nadi Shodhana Pranayam as much as you can. The more you do this Pranayam, the easily you will be able to deal with your problem. This is something you need to pay attention to.
