Computer Education - New vistas for ‘Shakti’ girls

Most of you are aware that mission Shakti, spearheaded by revered mystic master, Anandmurti Gurumaa, has taken some giant strides since its inception, coming out with flying colours and completing 11 empowering years. Shakti, a non-profit making N.G.O., has indeed blossomed, spreading the light of education far and wide and striving to accomplish its goal of equipping under-privileged girls all over India with the powerful tool of education. And this has become possible only by the untiring efforts of Gurumaa and the substantial contributions of all our esteemed donors.

We are pleased to announce that Shakti has now widened the domain of its support base by inaugurating a Computer Education Training Institute in Jalandhar, in the state of Punjab. The computer courses offered at this Institute will be free of charge, the duration varying from 2 months to 12 months. These courses will be instrumental in opening doors to access a wide array of job opportunities for the girls, which will eventually make them self-reliant and independent.

Course Duration: 2-3 months

Course Description:

Computer basics + Windows + MS Office + MS Word + MS Excel + MS Power Point + Internet- e-mail, chatting, browsing, railway ticket booking, searching information on internet.

Course Title: CCDTP (Certificate Course in DTP)

Course Duration: 2-3

Course Description:

Corel draw + Photoshop + page maker + printing + scanning

Course Title:CCWD (Certificate Course in Web Designing)

Course Duration: 2-3 months

Course Description:

HTML + front page + domain + browsers + FTP + project

Course Title: CCCA (Certificate Course in Computer Accounting)

Course Duration: 2-3 months

Course Description:

Accounting concepts + Journal entries + Ledger + Trial balance + P&L + Balance Sheet + Tally (computer accounting software)

Course Title: CCCH (Certificate Course in Computer hardware)

Course Duration: 2-3 months

Course Description:

Assembling + dissembling + trouble shooting + system & application software installation + virus detection + anti virus installation + driver installation and searching information on internet.

Course Title: DIT (Diploma in Information Technology)

Course Duration: 5-6 months
