Meditation is not contemplation. Meditation is not concentration. Meditation is a state of being. It is a state of awareness. Meditation is not about doing something; rather it is about doing nothing. Meditation is a state of awareness.
Meditation is a way of life. It is to be lived. We have a vast reservoir of energy in us, lying unused, untapped. Once we get in touch with this energy, our life changes from just being an ordinary to a divine one.
Yoga and meditation are inter linked, if dealt properly then yoga can lead to meditation, but if it is not understood clearly then it can become just another form of exercise. The eight fold path of Yoga begins from body discipline and slowly moves to mind, it is a pure science just like mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Mind is a tool. It can be used for good and bad – both in a negative and positive way. As long as we live in dependence, we create such situations for ourselves when we become prone to pain and hurt.
Mind keeps on drifting from negative to positive all the time. This tendency gives rise to all troubles. We live with ego not with our real self. The egos need are endless.
