About Us
Work at Ashram is an essential tool for spiritual evolution. Therefore, the responsibility of various projects and activities of the Ashram are assigned to the seekers who have adopted monkhood and are staying in the Ashram. Each seeker gets a chance to learn and participate in music classes, yoga sessions and other activities held from time to time for spiritual progress of the aspirants. Here is the description about the roles of the present team -
Mahatma Hari Milan
Mahatma Hari Milan is highly revered for his selfless association which dates back twenty-seven years, hence, he is a guiding source for all team members. Since the laying of foundation stone of the Ashram to over-all planning, construction, and functioning of various activities, Mahatma Hari Milan has been organising it all besides directing the work of seekers in their respective areas. He is an integral part of the Ashram. He manages all the events organised by the Ashram and directs the workings of Gurumaa centres across the country and abroad.In addition to this, he is solely responsible for supervising the live video recordings of all discourse sessions and retreats held within the Ashram, in other parts of the country and abroad. Immersed in devotion he has also been lending his voice as a playback singer for a number of albums.
Ms. Yogini
Ms. Yogini is responsible for the project Shakti of the Ashram which works toward empowering the girl child. She handles all the applications received for the said project and resolves the related issues. She has been personal assistant to Gurumaa since 1997 and plays a key role in the administration of the programs organised for Shakti.
She has taken up this name only after coming to the Ashram, formerly known by the name Ms. Maninder Grover. Blessed with a mellifluous voice, she has sung in several of Gurumaa’s albums.
Mr. Kanchman Babbar
Mr. Kanchman Babbar teaches Yoga to aspirants besides imparting music lessons to the seekers resident in the Ashram. He has been a music composer and music director for the albums of Gurumaa. In addition to this, he also plays a vital role in organising music events in the Ashram.
Besides being a talented flautist, he is trained in playing authentic Turkish instruments like ‘Ney’ and ‘Duduk’ and is also known as first Indian Neyzen (Ney player). He has been performing with Gurumaa as a flautist, music director and music composer since 1994.
Mr. Subhash Chander Dua
Mr. Subhash Chander Dua is involved in the management of events in the Ashram. He has been responsible for the transport management besides the administration of travelling arrangements since 1998. He is a percussionist when it comes to performing in the group for any recording or live event.
Mr. Satyakaam
Mr. Satyakaam is a yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga to residents at Ashram and retreat participants. He is also responsible for video recording and editing of the events besides playing a key role in the website development. In the music group of Ashram he plays as a percussionist. Associated since 2006 he has been involved in day to day activities of the Ashram, and he also lead the CEAP (computer education awareness program) team of Shakti hold classes in the remote areas of Sonepat. His former name is Mr. Deepak Bhardawaj.
Mr. Sushil Mangla
Mr. Sushil Mangla is a qualified Chartered Accountant and thus is responsible for all accounts related matters of the Ashram since 2006. In the music group of the Ashram he plays as a percussionist.
Mr. Simran Sidana
Mr. Simran Sidana is responsible for the administration activities including the management of accommodation in the Ashram. He handles all the related queries and assists in database management of Shakti. While in the music group, he is part of the chorus team and also lends voice as a playback singer.
Ms. Behroze Khajotia
Ms. Behroze Khejotia is responsible for the content of the website, handling online queries and co-ordination for their resolution. She is also a proficient Masseuse and holds sessions for various types Holistic massages in the Ashram. In addition to this, she teaches yoga to the aspirants participating in the retreats organised in the Ashram from time to time. Last but not the least she is part of the chorus team of Ashram’s music group.
Ms. Shilpi Anando
Ms. Shilpi Anando is part of the website designing team and plays an important role in day to day activities of the Ashram. If you happen to join one of the retreats in the Ashram, you might find her correcting the posture of yoga aspirants during the early morning yoga sessions. Besides yoga and web designing, she is also part of the music group lending her impeccable voice in chorus team.
Mr. Gurvinder Pal Singh
Mr Gurvinder Pal Singh, the admin of www.gurumaa.com, has been playing a key role in the development and maintenance of the website since 2005. He is responsible for all the website related issues and does the necessary co-ordination to keep it running all the time. While in the music group, he plays as a percussionist.
