When a Buddha walks on this earth, he leaves behind a charged and hallowed ground. Earth takes in the vibrations of the master and keeps it safe for a very long period. Bodhi tree under which Siddhartha attained enlightenment is worshipped as living Buddha, not just for being a testimony to Buddha’s enlightenment but also for sharing the same space, and for having drunk the energy released at the time of final achievement. Sanghmitra, the daughter of emperor Ashoka, took a branch of this tree to Sri Lanka when she headed towards this beautiful island to disseminate the message of the Buddha.
