Devotional Songs, Sufi
Language: Punjabi
Description
Dilbar Ki Karda is a tribute to the great sufi saint, Baba Bulleshah. Gurumaaji has often spoken about him at length in her discourses and anyone who has read or heard about this great mystic will readily identify with the mirth and depth of this album. Every word spoken by this saint bears witness to his deep love and union with the divine and Gurumaaji hands it over to us with the same pristine purity.
Baba Bulleshah sees the 'One' beloved living in millions of hearts and yet hidden from view. He sweetly chides his beloved with the song 'Dilbar Ki Karda' and asks him what is this mischief that he is upto? The Lord himself becomes the hero, he is also the villain in this play and he fights with his own self? Thats so strange!
'Piya Piya Karte Karte Hum Hi Piya Ho Gaye, Ab Piya Kisko Kahiye?'
--weeping and crying for the beloved, I have become the Beloved myself, now whom do i call 'Beloved'?
Playing with his beloved, Baba Bulleshah reaches the height of love, where he realizes that He and His Beloved were not two different beings, they were actually one and the same.'Ghar Mein Ganga Aayi' is a a profound song which reflects the joy of knowledge that dawns in a heart which has become as pure as the holy Ganga river.

Gurkiran (Wednesday, 18 April 2007).
Baba Bulleshah's frank and direct knowledge and experience, is expressed in a hypnotic way by Gurumaa. A great album to get through even the thickest of skins!
