Description

The holy Bhagavad Gita is often referred to as the 'Song of Shri Krishna'. It is a beautiful dialogue of wisdom between a master and disciple which continues to inspire many a seeker even today. Arjuna accepts Shri Krishna as his master and seeks his guidance to get rid of his ignorance.

The magic that took place on the battlefield of Kurukshetra has been revived again in the presence of beloved Gurumaaji during the Gita Gyana Yagna shivir that took place here earlier this year!

Lord Krishna says that truth is unthinkable (Achintya) and unchangeable (Avikari). So what do saints mean when they say contemplate on the divine, when the divine in inconcievable? Gurumaaji explains how our minds perceive the external world through the five sense organs and when the same mind is drawn inwards, it sinks deeper and deeper and at one point of time it is no more. Truth cannot be known by the mind, but can be experienced by leaping beyond the mind.

Lord Krishna tells Arjuna," There has never been a time when i wasn't there and you have been there too. So also there will come a time when our bodies will be no more.

But we will still continue to exist. Gurumaaji explains that the gross body is just like an outer covering, what animates it is the subtle one. The moment the subtle body leaves the gross there is no life, no movement. On the contrary the body begins to decay and gets destroyed. The subtle body moves through different lives and bodies but we are aware only of the gross. But the wise is aware and awakened. He does not feel miserable for people who die. Neither does he worry about people who are living. The wise one is not disturbed by sorrow and does not forget himself in joy. He is peaceful and tolerant and does not complain or find faults with everything, for he knows that neither sorrow is permanent, nor is joy, nor is the body itself.

As one delves deeper into meditation, there comes a gripping fear which interferes with meditation. The more one is attached to the body, the more is this fear. It arises from a deep sub conscious desire to live.

But the Master emphatically says, "What is it that you fear"? The body is born and will definitely die one day. But your true self is neither born nor does it die!

Many paths and many ways have been described to realize the divine. For example, hath Yoga describes a procedure of purifying the body, awakening the chakras, controlling the mind and transcending death. But the Gita says something else!

The moment you realize that your true self is the immortal one. You transcend death!

Experience the magic for yourself by immersing yourself in Gita Gyana Yagna!
